Luggage
Baggage rules vary from airline to airline. This applies to the number of items, weight, and size. We therefore recommend that you always check with the airline or travel agency you are traveling with before departure.
The maximum weight per piece of luggage is 32 kg for handling, loading, and unloading purposes.
For safety reasons, certain items are not allowed on the aircraft. The list is not exhaustive, and security control may at any time reject items deemed to be a potential risk.
Hand luggage
Hand luggage rules depend on the individual airline.
If hand luggage exceeds the permitted dimensions or weight, the airline may choose to check it in as regular baggage for a fee.
Liquids in hand luggage
- Max. 100 ml per container
- Containers must be placed together in one transparent, re-sealable 1-liter bag
- One bag per passenger
Liquids include beverages, creams, perfumes, toothpaste, gels, and similar products.
Medicine, baby food, and dietary products
You may carry necessary liquids for use during the flight, including medicine, baby food, and dietary products. Security personnel may ask for documentation.
The bag with liquids must be removed from hand luggage and shown at the security checkpoint.
Special baggage
Sports equipment and baggage with special dimensions require manual handling and are transported separately in the aircraft's cargo hold. Therefore, there will generally be an additional charge. Rules and prices are set by the individual airline.
If you wish to bring hunting or sporting weapons, you must contact the airline well in advance of departure.
Weapons may only be transported as checked baggage or cargo – never as hand luggage.
- Weapons must be securely packed
- Ammunition must be packed separately
- The weapon must be disassembled, and a vital part stored separately
- A valid firearms license must be presented
At check-in, both weapons and documentation will be inspected in cooperation with security personnel.
If you are travelling with pets, bookings and rules must be arranged directly with the airline.
At check-in, Midtjylland Karup Airport staff will handle the practical arrangements.
We recommend that you arrive well in advance, as checking in with animals takes longer.
