The sale of Midtjylland Airport is finalized

The sale of Midtjylland Karup Airport is complete.
The family-owned investment company HEARTLAND A/S is now the owner of Midtjylland Karup Airport. The deal has finally been concluded.
After six decades of inter-municipal ownership among nine municipalities, the board of Midtjylland Karup Airport yesterday entered into the final agreement for the sale of the airport to the investment company HEARTLAND A/S.
On May 15, a conditional purchase agreement was made, which, among other things, states that the new owner must continue to operate the domestic route between Karup and Copenhagen as long as the route is profitable. We are, on behalf of our region, pleased that the agreement has been finalized. We believe this is absolutely the right step if the airport's continued operation and development are to be secured, says the now former chairman of the Midtjylland Karup Airport board, Viborg mayor Ulrik Wilbek (V).
